Flock Web Browser

Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

Following my post about microsoft delivers new IE, they are still one step behind. Based on Mozilla technologies Flock is a pretty rockin’ web browser with its cross platform, open source and social browser philosophies. Flock includes such features as blogging tools, feed handling, and integrated del.icio.us favorites and Flickr photo sharing. Download now and help the developers finding bugs.

I installed it in my iBook (G4, 1.2GHz, PantherOS) smoothly. Very quick, not heavy to open, very nice simple basic layout and it asked if i want to export my favorites from Safari. You can also post your favorites online if you want. This is a lot better then the latest Mozilla web browser SeaMonkey i installed 3 weeks ago. For me such web browser is too big, heavy and has most of the extras i don’t use. I only need one email client for example, while SeaMonkey has a build in one. It just slows down my whole system, since i only has a very minum ram capacity (not anymore soon, i hope). So i guess it’s time to flock the world baby… :-))

Wi-Fi steal/borrow?

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

This guy tries to convince that he wasn’t trying to steal wireless internet connection, but borrowing it instead. He even gives a full description on how to do it your self. One of his comment was: You might get a reputation for being some sick laptop yoga freak, but isn’t free Internet worth it? hehehe… I think some of his arguments are acceptable. Maybe i should try to do it, while i don’t have internet ;-))

Anywayz, it has tabs, it zooms, it feeds RSS and it has preview of open tabs… it’s describe as a “new-and-improved internet browser” at cnet.com… OK it’s new for microsoft, but not for me… they’ve surely been sleeping tight and just enjoy their biggest share of internet browser…

It’s open to public and available to download on microsoft website… why don’t you guys try it and put on your comments over here…

Oh btw., it only works with WindowsXP SP2… :-s

This is not a new story tho, cos this lately released beta version (10.02.06) is for the second time… i am just being bored in the library :-))

True love linked to altruistic love

Saturday, February 11th, 2006

Just read this interesting article about true love linked to altruistic love from msnbc. Research says that most happily married couple are profiled as more altruistic. What interest me is this is what all kind of religions based on. People who prays every day tend to be more altruistic, then those who don’t and thus are happier and more successful on marriages. There’s some psychological explanation behind it and it’s very logical. However, can we say: “be religious, if you want to have a happy marriage” yeah… i doubt it somehow. I don’t think religion is the ONLY way to find happiness in marriage.

I must be getting old and boring to talk about this on my blog or am i just passing a stage? i don’t know. All i know the article above is a basic common sense that most of us won’t realize unless it’s being described in words. I hope those who reads the article above would understand life more.

For those who were there
I wanna thanks you all for coming to our house warming party. It’s our honour that you all came and be able to enjoy the party with you. I posted some of the pictures on this site. It’s under title: Einweihungsparty.

For those who were invited, but didn’t come :-))
I can only say one thing: it’s your lost :-). It’s a pitty you didn’t come, we had a good time, it would be merrier if you were there. Maybe next time.

For those who don’t know what’s going on
Me, Mindy and Laure just moved in to this new great flat. We all are very happy with the flat and invited people to come over to enjoy the flat for a night ;-). Anyways, we had a good time, some of the “censored” pictures are available on this site too. Enjoy it and write some comments if you feel like it.
